Arrigo Levi has been a journalist for RAI, the director of La Stampa and a foreign correspondent to many Italian journals. Today, he is the advisor for external relations to the President of the Italian Republic.
Born in a family of Jewish descent, when he was twelve he moved to Argentina with his family in order to escape fascist persecution. In Buenos Aires he began his career in journalism, as the director of Italia libera (Free Italy).
After the war he returned to Italy, where he continued his journalist career in the newspaper Gazzetta di Modena. He was then a correspondent from London for the Turin Gazzetta del Popolo, and went on to wire his pieces from Rome to the Milan evening newspaper Corriere di Informazione.
Besides the TV News which he led in the 1960s, Levi was involved in numerous successful TV programs, mainly produced for RAI.
