Summer University for Continental Law
The Foundation for Continental Law (« Civil law initiative ») is pleased to announce the creation of the Summer University for Continental Law, which will take place in Paris, at the Sorbonne, from July 6 to July 25 2009. The Foundation for Continental Law is a private law structure, « reconnue d’utilité publique », which associates private and public partners. It develops the influence of the civil law tradition, especially in relation to business and economy.

The Summer University for continental law was established under the direction of the Foundation’s International Scientific Council, composed of 24 members from 15 different countries and presided by Professor Michel Grimaldi. It is coordinated by Professor Bénédicte Fauvarque Cosson.

This Summer University provides lawyers and advanced law students trained outside France with exposure to the civil law tradition as well as to other traditions. It provides the opportunity for networking and establishing numerous international contacts.
The program's content is ideally suited for lawyers who seek to improve their ability to communicate and work in an international world made of various legal traditions.
Please find here a short presentation of these courses (both in french and in english):
