14-th Common Core General Meeting: Turin, July 11-12 2008

The 14-th General Meeting of the Common Core took place also this year in Turin, organized by the International University College of Turin.

The plenary session, which began on July 11 at 11 a.m., dealt with “The Public-Private Divide in European Law”. Invited speakers were professors Aldo Schiavone (SUM -Istituto Italiano Scienze Umane of Firenze), Norbert Reich (University of Tartu, and International University College of Turin), Paolisa Nebbia (Leicester University, and International University College of Turin) . The closing plenary session took place on Saturday 12 and dealt with “Public-Private Divide in the Economic Approach to the Law”. Invited speaker was professor Paul Brietzke (Valparaiso University, Indiana, USA).

The Consiglio Nazionale del Notariato and the International University College of Turin  made available financial aid for participants coming from new Member States, as well as for young scholars under 35 from anywhere
