Contact Francesca Alonzo
Francesca Alonzo received her Ph.D. in Civil Law from the Università degli Studi di Torino. Since 2002 she is Honorary Judge (GOT) at the Tribunale Ordinario di Torino and since 2003 she is Member of the Bar of Turin, Italy.
Francesca Alonzo brings to the IUC over eight years of legal experience in a variety of fields. She has been involved in the IUC project extensively in the start up and growth of the organization. She has held responsibilities in the IUC Secretariat and is an organizing member of the institutional development and foundation building of the IUC project. Dr. Alonzo has extensive experience within the Italian courts and private legal practice. She also has been active as a voluntary legal consultant for refugees and immigrants, working on issues of motherhood and childhood for non-profit organizations. Dr. Alonzo's current research interests include microcredit monetary policy, law and development, refugees and immigration law and policies, with special emphasis on African and South American situations.
