Contact Jan Toporowski
Jan Toporowski is a graduate of Birkbeck College London (M.Sc.[Econ.]) and the University of Birmingham (B.Soc.Sc. and Ph.D.). He worked in fund management and international banking before becoming and academic at the end of the 1980s. In 2003-2004, he was an Official Visitor in the Faculty of Economics and Politics at Cambridge University. In 2005 he was a Visiting Research Fellow at the Bank of Finland. He currently teaches in the Economics Department of the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS), London, and is a Research Associate in the Research Centre for the History and Methodology of Economics at the University of Amsterdam. Jan Toporowski has published widely on financial and monetary economics and is currently engaged on a study of the economist Michal Kalecki.
