Saki Bailey is a permanent IUC Faculty member and IUC Dean of Students.

 

She received her BA with high honors from UC Santa Barbara in Law and Society and her Juris Doctor from UC Hastings.  Her main areas of study and research are in International and Comparative Law; she assisted Ugo Mattei in a study on Access to Justice on behalf of the Academie Internationale de Droit Comparé, Paris and studied Latin American legal systems and International Trade Policy at the Universidad Católica de la Santissima Concepción, Chile.

 

Her work experience includes Property and Family Law in the private sector and Immigration Law  in the government and nonprofit sectors. Most recently, she was a Visitor of the Interdisciplinary Studies Program at the Institute for Advanced Studies, Princeton, assisting Professor Piet Hut, the head of the department,  in the use of new digital media for interdisciplinary research and education.
