Current Position: Lecturer in the Law of Islamic Finance, School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS), University of London
Bio: Prior to pursuing his doctorate in Law at the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS) in London, Jonathan Ercanbrack obtained degrees in German (University of Utah), Economics (University of Heidelberg) and the Political Economy of the Middle East (London School of Economics). He has represented the South Korean Embassy and the Konrad Adenauer Foundation at the U.S. Congress in Washington, D.C., and ran a family-owned business. Recently, he was appointed Lecturer in the Law of Islamic Finance at SOAS. His research interests include the Law of Islamic Finance, Islamic commercial law, financial services law and Islamic economics.
